IIIT East and Southeast Asia and International Institute of Muslim Unity is inviting you to join our next Intellectual Discourse Series featuring Prof Dr Mohamed El-Tahir El-Mesawi, Prof Dr Dawood Abdulmalek Yahya Al-Hidabi and Prof Dr Waleed Fekry Faris who will be talking on the topic of “Maqasid al-Shariah: Reorientation of Social Sciences”.

Dr Mohamed El-Tahir El-Mesawi is a Tunisian who gained his doctorate on Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage, from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2003 and is currently a lecturer at the Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, International Islamic University, Malaysia. Dr E-Mesawi is Editor of at-Tajdid and managing editor of Islāmiyat al-Ma‛rifah, both refereed scholarly Arabic journals. He has published numerous scholarly papers on Islamic Studies and philosophy and has won awards for translation and academic excellence.
Prof Dr Dawood Abdulmalek Yahya Al-Hidabi is the Director of International Institute of Muslim Unity.
Prof Dr Waleed Fekry Faris is the Deputy Dean, International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisation (ISTAC-IIUM).
